Jerusha was so very loved by so many people and if you were not able to make it to the funeral, there were SO many friends and loved ones there to support her and her family. I share the same memories of Jerusha that so many of you share. Her smiling face, her beatiful eyes, the sweetness in her voice. I just wish that I had spent more one on one time with Jerusha than I did. As Holly mentioned, I wish so badly we had known just how difficult it was for her to deal with the things going on inside her mind and could have helped her somehow. There is something though that we all can look forward to and that is the fact that Jerusha is no longer suffering those things anymore, but is merely sleeping until Christ returns to raise her again from her sleep and we will Lord willing see her again very soon. God be with you all in your grief and sadness at this time but know that there is still hope for Jerusha.

Hey Hannah! I'm glad you found this page! :-) (That's J-Ru's older sister, for anyone who's wondering.) And as much as I'd love to take the credit for starting this group, but it was actually Lorenzo's idea, so mad kudos to him. *Round of applause*

I want to say thank you so much to Alex for doing all of this, and thank you to everyone who has wrote about Jerusha on here and myspace. We have gotten so much support from so many people. People are always around when things are good, but it's nice to know who will be there for you when things get rough. I know who those people are now more than ever. I have a lot of new pics on my page, mostly of Jerusha for anyone who wants to see them. For whoever doesn't have it, my url is www.myspace.com/hannah964. For everybody that wants the video from the funeral, please send me your email addresses and I'll get it out to you. Thanks and take care. Love yall

I will never forget always seeing her big, beautiful smile everyday in our hallway. Just that brightened my every day.

Jerusha was one of the most sincere and selfless people I have known. She would go out of her way to make someone else happy. For instance she would see a homeless person on the street and would tell them she would bring them something to eat and no matter what she had planned she would find a way to bring it to them. She would give you her last dime if you needed it and would drive on an empty tank of gas to come get you. These are just a few examples of what a great person she was. Her smile and laugh were contagious. Her style and beauty were one of a kind. She could make friends with anyone. She was absolutely brilliant and was always questioning what others assumed to be true, an absolute genious. She had a tremendous love for God, her family and friends. Although it is saddening she is not with us in the present, I joyfully look forward to seeing her soon when Christ returns.

Jerusha was one of the first people I met and liked at TAMS. We were in the same orientation group, and from then on we always said hi to each other. Unfortunately, we didn't have many classes together or live near each other in the dorm, so we never became close. I remember thinking she must be a genius when she told me about going to Washington D.C. for a research award.

I didn't know Jerusha very well, but she'll always be my very first college roommate...TAMS Summer O 2004. She was genuinely the sweetest person I'd met and my first TAMS friend.

When I think of Jerusha, the first thing that comes to mind is her amazing smiling that could light up her face in a second:-) I like to think of the times I took her and Seth to CYC on Friday nights, I always enjoyed talking to them about what they had planned and what kinds of things they were interested in. At the time Jerusha wanted to be a vet, she seemed to love animals so much. I remember when she got her parrot and how she taught him to talk. One of my favorite memories is when we went to Galveston for the day with Natasha. We had so much fun playing on the beach and just hanging out. The main thing I like to remember about Jerusha is what a kind person she was. She was a good example to me of how a friend should be. I can't imagine now what was going on inside of her, I pray that Christ returns soon to relieve us from this flesh and to bring us together again.

Though I only knew Jerusha as her sometimes hall director, I am deeply saddened to hear this news. Jerusha and her family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. She truly was a radiant light. - Olivia Ortiz
